Zachary Sticker’s newest arrangement of experimental, avant garde, electro-glitch compositions is a unique sonic journey through a creative mind shaping noises into an audio book in which words are not necessarily necessary.
Zachary’s ability to absorb his surroundings and turn them into intensified layers of lo-fi madness is apparent throughout Malfunction. Many moments I feel myself surrounded by the sounds of New York City, the place Sticker calls home.
Noises become sounds which become symbolic of the life around us (or Zachary), despite their obvious lack of organic, naturally acoustic timbres; Zachary’s arrangements have a very human, very naturally rigid quality to them.
