Wordcamp is a community organized conference for and by WordPress enthusiasts taking place in Nashville December 1-3, 2017.
Since 2007, I have used WordPress to manage my sites as well as empower myself as a work-from-dad to actually work from home building and managing websites for small businesses, musicians and indie labels. (This website, my artist website and my business website use WordPress.)
- Approximately 90% of my clients’ websites have been built and are managed using WordPress.
- Approximately 90% of my website clients live in Tennessee and I have not seen them since moving to Sacramento, CA in August 2013. I also have not seen family members and close friends since moving.
- Attending Wordcamp US in Nashville would be the perfect opportunity to attend my first WordCamp (and connect with other WP geeks) as well as squeeze in time to touch base with clients and people who I miss dearly, not to mention being able to see Tennessee again for the first time in 4+ years.
I really miss home.
*Bluehost is sponsoring a contest for a trip to attend Wordcamp US in Nashville. For writing 4-8 sentences in a blog post about why I want to attend, I receive an entry in the contest.
