Let’s dive a little deeper into You, the artist and your music. What attracted you to this genre(s) or style(s)?
We were never shooting for a specific genre, we just wrote songs and the music is simply the result of its members.
What led you into this journey with music? And further, what drives you to push it out to the public?
We have all been playing music most of our lives. When we got together, we started writing and recording together so pushing it to the public just seemed to be logical.
Who or what influences your creativity? Have your tastes in music changed over time?
When we started we were a 3 piece band playing more traditional folk music and featured a banjo. Over time we have developed into a more traditional 4 piece setup.
Were you trying to accomplish anything specific on this new project? Creatively or otherwise?
We have improved our recording techniques greatly over the years. We were just trying to make an EP that showcased the results of all the work we’ve put in over the years.
What was the last song you listened to?
Blame it on Kane by Elvis Costello
Which do you prefer? Vinyl? CDs? MP3s?
MP3s for convenience but not for sound quality.
How about this one…. Do you prefer Spotify? Apple Music? Bandcamp? Or something else? Why?
Most of us listen on Spotify or we just upload music to our phones.
Other than the digital era overwhelming us with access to an abundance of music, what is the biggest challenge you face when trying to connect with or find new fans?
Networking can be tough because it is spread out over so many different areas between all of the internet sites. It is hard to find people who actually care about your music who have never met you in person.
Where is the best place to connect with you online? Discover more music?
The best place to connect with us is through Facebook but if you want to see us perform we have both our studio and live performances on YouTube.
Anything else you’d like to add before signing off?
We were recently featured on WSTW’s Hometown Heroes and are Co-Headling a show at the Trocadero in Philadelphia on September 10th.
