NYC based funky, alt-psych-punk rocker Les Techno has delivered his latest project What Ever Happened To Les Techno?
From the days of analog synths with big knobs, analog reel to reels, grease pencils and razor blades, Les Techno has been submerged in the music scene for quite some time.
Over the length of his career he has trained with jazz man Larry Coryell, played in bands Sim-Stim and Love Posse at the usual NYC punk rock hangouts, made tracks with Onyx, Ava Cherry and the funk legend Bernie Worrell, remixed Red Hot Chili Peppers, written and produced reggae dancehall records for Georgie Blacks and Willie One Blood, techno records for Stimulator, Latin Hip Hop for Daniela and pop for Lizzie Tripp.
Les Techno is truly unique. His knowledge of so many different genres gives him this remarkable ability to mix, mash, blend and stew them into very cohesive, functional, and groovy tunes a wide range of listeners can enjoy (and groove to).
On the new album What Ever Happened To Les Techno?, all instruments, writing, performing and producing is handled solo by the man himself!
My favorite tracks are Trophy Wife, Soul of the Machine, and Salvation Remix (Who Do You Believe).
You can watch the video for Trophy Wife and jam tunes from the album below.
