Chicago based rockers Voice of Addiction have delivered a hard rockin’, face meltin’ album with their latest The Lost Art of Empathy.
-We recently interviewed Voice of Addiction. That feature is here.
Considering these guys have been around for 10+ years performing 1,200+ shows across the States and Canada, have released five albums independently and sold 6,500 copies of those albums, it’s possible you’ve heard or seen these guys light up a stage or two.
The Lost Art of Empathy captures and then injects the band’s pure, raw, organic energy directly into your sensory system. Prepare your air instrument of choice because soon after clicking play you’re going to find yourself jumping around jamming your heart out.
Fist pumping rhythms, memorable hooks and melodies, an abundance of punk attitude and an undeniable musical chemistry have all combined into one awesomesauce package of pure punk greatness. Every single song rocks just as hard or harder than the track before it and with plenty of politricks fueling their lyrical substance, Voice of Addiction is anything and everything a hardcore, politico-punk band should be!
I can’t choose a favorite song from The Lost Art of Empathy. The album is a cohesive unit which is best enjoyed from front to back through all 12 tracks of in-your-face, high energy, aurally stimulating assaults.
If you have a chance to see these cats live, go experience it!
The Lost Art of Empathy is now available. You can rock your socks off by jamming it on Bandcamp.
