We recently interviewed Vocaliz but now we’re back with a look at his album, The Lesson Plan.
As soon as you push play it is obvious this is unique. Something fresh for the realm of urban music… How refreshing!
Vocaliz definitely has an advantage with his multi-cultural background and multi-lingual tongue.
Weaving back and forth between his native Cameroon dialect of French and his English (influenced by North Carolina), this young songwriter is able to connect with a wide range of humans across the globe.
Production on The Lesson Plan is the proper complement to Vocaliz’s positive lyricism and has a pop appeal that will grab the attention of people outside the urban music genre(s).
The Lesson Plan is what would happen if Jeezy quit the dope game and started rapping with Pharoahe Monch.
Vocaliz encapsulates an eclectic range of influences which combine to create some unique hip hop flavor.
Out of these 6, I can’t choose a favorite. This is definitely one of those albums I would throw in the ride, turn it up to 11, roll down the windows, and hit the road.
In fact, it’s time to ride on out… the rolling hills are calling my name.
You can connect with Vocaliz on Facebook and Twitter. You can also visit his website.
