We recently interviewed the duo known as Vally & Rocket so be sure to check that if you missed it.
Forming in 2013, Vally & Rocket’s joint effort mixtape, Executive Decisions, was well received by listeners. Performing around Texas and the SouthWest, the duo has returned with a new EP, The Pretape.
Including 5 songs of solid, top shelf production, if you are a fan of mainstream pop-influenced rap then this EP is right up your alley.
Each of the 5 singles are polished enough to fit into a radio ready playlist but fortunately their lyrics contain a lot more substance than the other rap you hear on radio these days.
With tracks like “Superstars” and “Might Be”, I wouldn’t be surprised if you heard these guys getting spins in the club (if you haven’t already).
Outside the club, this EP would work well as motivational music. It’s also perfect for rolling down the windows and cranking the stereo up to 11; if you’ve got woofers in the ride, you’ll feel the thump.
Connect with Vally & Rocket on Twitter or FB then go show them your support. Here are links to Spotify and iTunes.
Tracks I dig the most: Big City Dreamin’ and Superstars.
