Ready for some guitar-driven power pop that is guaranteed to get the adrenaline flowing?! I know I am!
The Twelve AM deliver just that on their latest album, Pretty Noise, which is set for release in January. With chunky guitars, raw rock and roll attitude and a healthy dose of melodic, memorable pop appeal, The Twelve AM craft songs that knock you upside the sensory system with an electrifying wall of sound, larger than life rhythms and powerful vocals which ensure you feel the impact of every lyric.
I hear their live show is quite the experience. Assuming this arena sized sound that emanates from each of the 10 tracks on Pretty Noise translates into their stage presence, I am confident that experiencing them live would be quite the memorable show! Fist pumping, air guitar playing, and lighters in the air are all actions I could see being provoked by this music!
Some have said the band is like Motorhead playing pop songs, Buddy Holly and The Crickets drinking Red Bull while playing through Marshall amps, or have compared them to acts like Gaslight Anthem or The Replacements. With that said, anyone whose attention piques when reading those names will thoroughly enjoy what The Twelve AM have to offer.
About the recording of the new album, drummer Lee D’Ambrosio says the process was,
“Exile On Main Street style, loose and raw,”
That loose and raw feel gives the band’s music an organic aesthetic that is typically missed in over-produced, guitar-driven, power pop. That organic aesthetic is what I truly appreciate about Pretty Noise!
Pretty Noise was mastered in Memphis, Tennessee (by Brad Blackwood) and will be available on January 19, 2019 via Red Electric Recordings. You can watch the video for Elope below or subscribe on YouTube.
