Austin, Texas based power rockers Tommy Rebel and The Righteous have a core belief that fuels the inspiration behind their creations. I really dig it!
That core belief is that rock music is an open letter to the universe.
Tommy Rebel and The Righteous includes founding member Tommy Rebel (guitarist, songwriter, singer, poet, philospher, shaman) as well as bassist Naer and drummer Rollie. With over a decade of touring experience and an abundance of musical talent, Tommy Rebel and The Righteous are no strangers to connecting humans through music as they consistently deliver energetic, electrifying, rock n’ roll performances.
During his time in music, frontman Tommy Rebel has opened for acts such as Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. Tommy is coming back to music re-energized and ready to put his years of experience with music and the music industry into his new creations.
In their new single, Tommy Rebel and The Righteous share a rockin’ but tragic story which could easily serve as an anthem for those who are familiar with the frustration, pain and struggle of trying to get by with a Torn Heart.
Chunky riffs transition to soaring electric melodies as Tommy’s gruff, gritty voice passionately sings,
“Well you feel nothing when your heart is torn… your life just fades away.”
Tommy Rebel, “Torn Heart”
With Naer and Rollie locking in the groove, Torn Heart is a potent song with which a wide array of listeners will be able to relate. This is rock n’ roll as it should be: pure, raw, emotive, and memorable.
