From his position high above the Pacific Ocean in the jungles of Costa Rica’s Escaleras Mountains, Toby Tune continues doing what he’s always done [since the age of 12]…pumping out great music.
With 14 albums in his portfolio, Toby has released music with The Client Brothers, Interval of Science, The HT Three, Blue Sandelwood Soap and as Toby Tune, the solo artist.
After running a post production studio where he created soundtracks for radio and television as well as serving as sound designer for documentaries, Toby is taking it back to simpler times by focusing on one thing: composing music.
In his latest endeavor, Layers of Light, Toby Tune delivers a captivating, cinematic blend of classical and electronic influences. This combination of sounds is, by far, some of the most distinct sounding compositions I have yet to hear while curating music for this blog.
Instead of selecting noteworthy or favorite tracks….which I’m unable/unwilling to do… I highly encourage you to listen to the entire project from beginning to end. Like all great albums, Layers of Light is a genuine work of art that needs to be experienced in its totality. From track 1 all the way to track 13, listeners will be treated to a captivating, emotive journey through exciting and fascinating soundscapes.
Classical and Electronic music have never come together like this before.
