Classically trained vocalist Eleanor Kleiner and French bassist Elie Brangbour have been traveling across the globe for the past 8 years sharing their unique style of folk-rock.
With the release of their 2010 debut Go Call The Captain, The Whispering Tree found themselves performing in South America followed by 7 months of gigs in China.
On April 16th, this power duo plans for The Escape.
On this new album Bangbour switches from bass to guitar and the duo expands itself to include the musicianship of Clif Jackson on upright bass, Chris Shultz on drums, and Clifton Hyde taking on additional guitar duties.
Recorded over 3 days, live, at The Bunker Studio in New York, The Escape sounds pristine.
Kleiner’s voice walks us through songs full of vibrancy, depth, and layers of long lasting enjoyment.
