The Mickey Finns have been hailed as the “best Celtic rock band in the world” by PaddyRock Radio.
I think I agree.
Prayers and Idle Chatter is a one way trip to Celtic rock heaven. This music moves, makes you move, and it will take you places. Particularly to Celtic Country.
The band provides a beautiful soundscape packed full of power-energy, introspection, and Irish brew. Raise your pint, grab a partner, and boogie ’til you fall down.

After releasing two albums and touring the United States (for years) as a trio, the group has expanded with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Eric Kaye.
The group is made up of:
- Ray Kelly, singer and guitarist, whose whiskey scented vocals are a signature of the band’s sound.
- Brian Tracey, drummer and songwriter, who has worked mostly with African percussion but has returned to the drum kit for this new album.
- Matt Mancuso, fiddle player extraordinaire, who was the former lead fiddler of Lord of the Dance. He has built a reputation as one of the most incredible and versatile performers on the Irish circuit.
- Eric Kaye – bass, mandolin, guitar, producer – has worked with The Prodigals, Clint Black, Marc Cohn, Luther Vandross, Tito Nieves, and other recognizable names. He is also a film/television composer.
