Bio
The Kyle Kraft Band features family members – Kyle, Alex, Matthew and Daddy Jay, together with friend and bassist CJ Vaughn. The Kraft family has been playing music together since the brothers were big enough to pick up an instrument and ask, “Daddy, how do you play this?”
Lead vocalist Kyle Kraft, 23, is pursuing his dream of having a career as a country music artist. Alex Kraft, 21, is pursing a Liberal Arts Degree with a minor in Music at MTSU where he plays tuba in MTSU’s Band of Blue and is the lead pan player with the MTSU Steel Drum Ensemble. Alex’s main love is being a hard “kickin and stickin” drummer for The Kyle Kraft Band. He also plays steel drums and sings backing vocals for the family band.
Matthew Kraft, 18, will be a freshman at MTSU this fall and is looking forward to being in the MTSU Band of Blue where he will play trombone. His main love and focus is being part of The Kyle Kraft Band as lead guitar player and backing vocalist. Fans have called him a “dad gum prodigy!” An incredible guitarist, when Matthew is on stage, the guitar is smokin!
Jay Kraft is ageless. As daddy to Kyle, Alex, and Matthew, Jay Kraft has been playing music professionally since he was 13. He has played in numerous groups over the years and plays virtually all instruments. Jay plays keys and sings backing vocals with The Kyle Kraft Band.
Now in his early 20’s, CJ Vaughn is married and plays bass with The Kyle Kraft Band, while also performing as lead guitarist for his own blues band based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. CJ has been a great addition and his musical spirit and dedication is perfect for the band.
