The Minnesota Music Awards presented Kurt Jorgensen with Singer of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Album of the Year AND Song of the Year! One thing is definitely for sure, there’s a reason (or several) to keep your radar on this guy.
Long time leader of the Kurt Jorgensen Band, Kurt has released 8 albums which have all received praise from fans and even the critics. Somewhere along his musical journey, he crossed paths with Brianna.
Brianna has toured nationwide with a list of artists serving as bandleader, but she has also toured as a solo act. During these tours, she has appeared at SXSW multiple times.
Kurt and Brianna teamed up for Brianna’s debut solo album. The title of that is Wandering. Kurt served as producer and arranger while Brianna flexed her skills as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.
Soon after, the team became a powerful duo in life, on and off stage. They perform as The Jorgensens and their album The Lexington Stretch is available for your listening pleasure. And what a pleasurable experience listening to this roots-rockin’, blues-infused, jazz-sprinkled, Americana record is and will be.
The Lexington Stretch is the second album from this talented duo. Their chemistry is undeniable. The musicality top notch. The song crafting is of the highest caliber. In other words, you should own a copy.
Don’t be surprised if the duo brings in a bag full of awards for this one. I am thoroughly impressed, especially by it’s timeless feel and consistently great vibes.
