Evan Kadan (guitar, vox), Jake Leya (drums, vox) and Evan’s brother Zack (bass) make up the Pittsburgh power pop/rock trio Tears of Joy. Their new single Lice is now streaming and available for download.
Having been involved in the Pittsburgh indie, DIY scene for quite some time, Evan and Jake are each involved in various musical projects included an upcoming tour as half of the band AllegrA (info here).
Taking influences from heavier forms of rock music but wanting to maintain a pop sensibility, Tears of Joy have found a fine balance between rocking hard while staying light and easy going.
Lice is a catchy jam about that special someone you’d like to comb out of your life like those annoying little bugs that make a home in your hair and wreak havoc on your senses.
The hook’s lyrics will stay in your head after the song ends.
Lice is streaming on Bandcamp where you can find the group’s album Impossible Weight.
