Our favorite instrumental trio – Steve Markoff & Patricia Lazzara with Allison Brewster Franzetti – returns with the fourth single release from their forthcoming album; a flute and piano infused rendition of Crowded House‘s popular single, Don’t Dream It’s Over.

Steve, Patricia and Allison really go off on this one! And I mean that in the best ways. Like Slash of Guns N Roses ripping through a guitar solo, Steve, Patricia and Allison really use this opportunity to let each of their instruments soar individually while maintaining a sense of unity and cohesion that grounds us in the fact we are being carried on the wings of flutes through a 1986 pop rock hit.

Clocking in at a little over six minutes, you’ll be so lost in the intricate dance of melodies you won’t even remember that time exists.

This might be my favorite single release so far! The forthcoming 15 track album arrives in June.
