What can you do with a stack of busted up old starter synthesizers and weird gear? A hell of a lot more than anyone at any music store will Ever admit or any top 40 producer wants you to even think about… and that’s what Lake Kwan Do did on Spanish Limbs.
Reminding me of Iggy Pop and Lou Reed, New Haven, Connecticut’s, Lake Kwan Do is the musical recording project of W.G. Squire, who says, “Spanish Limbs is a reflection on suburban life, factory towns, warehouses and strip mall parking lots.”
I gotta give an award on this one, too… “the shortest 7 song record on MTM” award… between the fun quirky-ness of the record and the length of the songs, Squire has put out a record that is perfect for television placements – I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy gets picked up.
