Eddie Olguin orignially founded Space Diaries in Los Angeles in 2015 as the moniker Sunset. Having lost hope in the “band experience” after living through the ups and downs that go along with keeping a band organized, Eddie took some time and began writing songs focused on trials life had put in his path.
With a collection of new songs and a reinvigorated spirit ready for another shot at the band life, he reached out to drummer friend Marty Witt and the two began searching for the right talent to complete the band. After a year of this process and several changes to the band’s roster, Eddie made one last, humorous attempt to locate a guitar player by placing an advertisement.
As if the universe had bigger plans for Space Diaries, Raymond Lacsamana was warmly welcomed into the band and Eddie never again checked for responses to his ad. Raymond then went on to help Eddie land the perfect bass player, Buwi Meneses. After their first rehearsal, Eddie’s life long mission of organizing a solid lineup had been accomplished.
After spending 2016 developing their unique, refreshing, and original sound, Space Diaries headed into the studio with producer Joseph Holiday to record their debut self-titled EP.
Founded in rock and roll, Space Diaries deliver a cosmic blend of frequencies featuring memorable melodies, rockin’ rhythms, and a band chemistry which one could argue was handed down from the stars.
