After only 5 months of playing together, 72nd and Central has become the self-dubbed “fastest growing band in Greenville, South Carolina.” Lead singer and guitarist, Chapman Suther, describes the sound of 72nd and Central as a mix between Nirvana, Modest Mouse, Kings of Leon, and the Foo Fighters. The band marks their first tour of the southeast this June, with scheduled dates in Atlanta, Birmingham, and Knoxville. They are also making a stop in Murfreesboro on Thursday, June 28th. “We really just want to play live,” Suther says. “That’s why we are doing this tour while we are still a ‘baby-band,'” he points out, smiling.
