Redd Knight is a computer engineer by day but when he’s not holding a mouse in his hand, he releases his creative energies through songwriting and playing guitar.
When Redd’s mother passed, he considered it a wake up call. He started out writing songs and as he became more comfortable decided it couldn’t hurt to perform and eventually began recording an album.
His release, Redd, was kept under lock and key while Redd hid away in the studio to put together this 6 song EP. “In The Quiet Times” is Redd’s “mom song” and he wrote it as a tribute to the positive effect her life had on everyone she knew.
The other songs are heartfelt. It is obvious Redd put everything he had into this EP. It is also obvious he embraces Texas.
Listening to this makes me want to kick back with a cold one and watch the sun disappear under the desert’s horizon.
