WHOA!
Are you ready for some female vocals that will make your skin crawl and the hair on the back of your neck stand up?
Do you like goosebumps?
Jody Quine delivers all of this and more with her new album Seven, but this is far from the beginning of Jody’s career.
Before Seven, Jody was the lead singer/co-writer for Balligomingo. Her song Purify was chosen by Bob Jamieson as the first single which went on to be remixed by many big names in the DJ world as well as hitting #3 on the Billboard Breakout Charts.
She also provided her talents to Sleepthief as a vocalist and cowriter.
Also discovered by Justin Elswick of Sleepthief, Jody garnered the first single Eurydice on the debut album, The Dawnseeker, and the title track on the sophomore album, Labyrinthine Heart. Her recent release Mortal Longing with Sleepthief had over 24,000 hits in the first 24 hours on YouTube.
Ms. Quine is now focusing on her own music and she shows the world who the new queen of strong lead females is with the release of Seven.
Seven songs of astonishing, breath-taking female vocals supported by an ambient soundscape lending itself to the genres of pop, folk, and electronic. Fans of Sarah McLachlan or Aimee Mann need to pay attention.
