Illinois based experimental singer/songwriter Sarah Schonert has arrived with her own blend of  unique frequencies to create a style of music we will label eclectic electronic. Sarah’s album My Unwinding State is now available.

My Unwinding State is Schonert’s fourth album and second LP. With over 20 years experience in music, Sarah continues pushing her creative boundaries with an interesting and unique mix of piano-based, vocoder infused, ambient, avant-garde pop.

Each of the sixteen tracks unwind lyrical runs as they weave in and out of sparse, simple drums, powerful vocals with a spice of electronic layering, and an adventure through a creative mind unlike any other.

Sarah Schonert has taken cue from artists like Imogen Heap and Kate Bush to create a lane all her own.

I have nearly 25 years of piano and vocal performance under my belt, and have been writing and recording on my own since 2012.  I love collaborating with other musicians around the world as well as interacting with artists and fans.  Beyond music, I also dabble in visual arts, mainly charcoal and acrylics, and tend to use my own work for album and song artwork.  I venture out occasionally to perform on piano or keyboard in the Peoria area.”
