The Rose Ann Dimalanta Trio delivers a soothing, relaxing, re-energizing blend of jazz, funk, soul and Latin musical elements which results in a highly pleasurable listening experience. Their latest album, It’s Time, is now available.
Formed in late 2016, the trio consists of Rose Ann Dimalanta, Raymond McKinley and Massimo Buonanno.
Oakland, California native Rose is a former member of Prince’s NPG and brings her signature vocal style and keyboard sounds to the group.
Raymond, also an Oakland native (now in Los Angeles), is often called the bass player’s bass player. With roots in gospel, he has worked with artists such as Patti Labelle, Shelia E, Tower of Power, George Duke and more. His bass technique and masterful skill set deliver the low-end grooves.
Last but never least, Swiss born Berklee educated Massimo Buonanno lays the rhythmic foundations with an intensity and passion that makes his drumming stand out from your average jazz trio. Massimo is one of Europe’s most in-demand musicians known for his attention-grabbing drum solos.
With their forces combined, the Rose Ann Dimalanta Trio create music with elegance, a little pizazz and some of the finest musicianship you can find in 2018. Every track on It’s Time will send you on a journey through sounds guaranteed to nourish your soul, relieve your tensions and leave you feeling at peace with the world.
