When George Michael passed in 2016, Rob Alexander was immediately struck with inspiration upon hearing the news.
About that moment, Rob says,
The melody came to me almost immediately, and I wanted the song to ask the questions we all wonder…what will people think of us and say about us when we pass away?”
Rob Alexander discussing the inspiration for When I’m Gone
When I’m Gone (For George Michael) is the result of that inspirational spark.
Rob Alexander, a physician anesthesiologist, has been writing songs for the majority of his adult life. However, it was not until recently he decided to enter the studio to capture these creations in audio form.
With powerful vocals, a larger than life sound, emotive musicianship, and unforgettable melodies, Rob Alexander delivers a passionate performance over a moving sound bed that features beautiful piano progressions, soaring lead guitar work, lush strings and thick but potent vocal harmonies.
Rob also has an album available. It is called Long Road Coming Home.
You can listen to the single or the full album on Spotify or HearNow.
