Orange County based hard rockers Ravenscroft are preparing to release their latest EP. While we wait for the January 2018 release date, the band has leaked two singles to tickle our senses and build interest for the official release.
Their first single (with a bad ass lyric video), The Chase, is a strong introduction to the band’s metal side. Powerful, passionate vocals ride a wave of in-your-face drums, perfectly toned bass runs and beautifully distorted guitar tones including chunky, adrenaline pumping riffage and a soaring solo that will have you grabbing your air guitar to jam along with a second thought. The energy, the passion, and the face melting power of metal-infused rock and roll make this one a radio ready, excellent single.
Completing flipping the script for My Dearest One, the band goes acoustic-driven, ballad rock putting their more sensitive side on full display. An easily memorable acoustic progression opens the song. Gradually more instrumentation enters the fold as soaring electric guitar infuses the track with soulful, tear-jerking melodies which navigate our senses and emotions through minimal but impactful rhythms, lush vocal harmonies, and a build up that would have an arena full of people raising lighters and fists into the air. The guitar solo on this one will hit you deep down.
My Dearest One is another radio ready hard hitting single and an apt complement to The Chase allowing us to see the group’s ability to melt faces one moment and drop panties the next.
