Sitting in Chicago, the O’Brien cousins think about their days growing up in the UK.
Wishing they were beach boys and she was their girl, The Unswept arrive with their own British surf rock invasion on this 4 track collection aptly titled Surf Song EP.
In the opening track, the duo admits they could never be a Beach Boy because they listened to the Rolling Stones but that doesn’t stop them from rolling through the waves with their upbeat, catchy surf rock flow.
Charlie and Ryan have created their own version of some classic sounds from the worlds of British pop and surf rock. This EP is “so cool all the other girls are jealous” but you’re not going home until the band sings “Get Away”.
The upbeat melodies, British infused guitar tones, and catchy grooves are exactly the wave you need next time your mind needs to retreat to its private beach.
