Australia based singer/songwriter Paul Scott, aka the Insufferable Paul Scott, has arrived with a rockin’ new album which blends elements of lo-fi, pop rock, alternative rock and a bit of raw, punk aesthetic. The new album is titled Surrender To Robots.
Don’t stare too deeply into the eyes’ of the cats on the album cover…. Unless you like surrendering to robots. I can feel them infecting my brain by the second. Such is true with the entire album. It infects you slowly, song by song.
With plenty of pop appeal reminiscent of the Brit-Pop Invasion decades ago, Surrender To Robots delivers nostalgic vibes through refreshing song crafting, excellent musicianship and nuanced production. The potent melodies, memorable hooks and often ambient vibes come together to form a solid and cohesive album worth listening to more than once. That’s a hard statement to make in a singles and playlist driven world.
This is the part where you check it out, share it, and add a song (or two) to your playlists!
