Nine studio albums (all certified platinum or gold in Uruguay and Argentina) and seven Latin Grammy nominations since forming in 1994 (in Uruguay), NoTeVaGustar celebrate 25 years of music, growth and success with the release of their audio visual album Otra Canciones.
Hailed as one of the most popular rock groups in Latin America, NoTeVaGustar decided to revisit their journey as a multimedia experience allowing fans to enjoy classic songs as well as the ones that weren’t necessarily performed at their long long list of live performances over the span of their impressive career.
The songs included on Otras Canciones are stripped down and revisited with a more intimate mood allowing acoustic instrumentation and passionate vocal performances to pull listeners in for an unforgettable experience.
NoTeVaGustar formed in Montevideo when musical talents from Uruguay, Mexico and Argentina crossed paths and began creating together. Those talents include Emiliano Brancciari on vocals and guitar, Martin Gil on trumpet, Gonzalo Castex on percussion, Denis Ramos on trombone, Mauricio Ortiz on sax, Diego Bartaburu on drums, Pablo Coniberti on guitar, Guzman Silveira on bass and Francisco Nasser on keyboards.
Teaming with Héctor Castillo, who has worked with David Bowie and Lou Reed (and many more), NoTeVaGustar used state-of-the-art equipment to film and record Otras Canciones. The release of this celebratory collection from the band’s catalog aligns with the release of their biographical book, Memorias del Olvido.
