About Katie Quick:
Nearly five years ago, Katie Quick was leading a double life. By day, she was a 6th grade teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. But by night, she was singing with her band and dreaming of country music stardom. She made the tough decision to leave the classroom not only follow her dream, but to SHOW her students that anything was possible. Katie has since achieved immense success as an independent singer/songwriter, writing, recording, touring, and appearing on hundreds of television shows and radio stations, all without the help of a record label. In 2010, she launched The Fingertips Program, an inspirational school assembly that combines live music with motivational speaking, encouraging students to find their passion and follow their dreams. In only two short years, her music and message have inspired over 50,000 students all across the country, making her a truly unique artist with something so much more to offer than just her music.
