San Diego, California’s Cheech has been crafting rhymes since he was 11 years old. Obviously this is more than just a hobby for him.
On his newest release, Monday Tuesday LP, Cheech makes it clear he is an emcee and not just another rapper talking nonsensical rhymes over a dope beat. He has spent years practicing and perfecting his craft and that experience shines.
Cheech has been thrilled by the art of piecing strings of words together in a rhythmic manner while still able to apply meaning and depth to them. As he put it,
“Writing rhymes is all I did and it’s all I ever do.”
