Notes from the event page:
After having heard all the tracks a few times, now, here are my “revisions”
Ships Have Sailed — wouldn’t change a thing! (see below)
Mass – he’s young, and will mature. The kid’s got some Great stuff going on and as he matures over the next few years, he’ll be a force to reckon with in Memphis hip hop.
+LORD REIGN I hate the radio track. I love the NSFW version. My complaint with Maas was the language. Somehow, LR manages to use similar language, yet it fits and doesn’t turn me off. I can’t explain the difference.
Beautiful Mess over the monitors, I cranked it! My room is fairly well tuned and the mix is great on the Events. Perhaps the engineer wants to revisit it for a good mp3/headphone mix.
The New Southern Electric – I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing their tunes. Send More!
All that said… Every one of these could have used just a touch more dry vocal right out front to really make the lyrics pop and catch the ear with candy on every word.
There ya have it!
Let’s jam ’em at the red light! – C Bret
Czar on “Beautiful Mess” – On monitors the way they used the stereo field was better pronounced of course, but I still couldn’t get with the way the drums were panned. The vocal being as dynamic as it was was being buried at times. Still love the ping pong delay on the vocal. The song really shines on parts where the vocal is out in front
Dukman on “Beautiful Mess” – Beautifulmess, I must revise my words, I would not change the drum mix after putting this through my monitors… I love it, excellent song and great job on the mix. Song is beautifully written and has very powerful lyrics. very nice.
The New Southern Electrikk is awesome also!!!, after putting through the monitors, love it even more.
Hell yeah, last night’s episode was great!!! +LORD REIGN thank you for your submission and attendance. The track was great man.
