New Jersey based singer/songwriter Michael Askin has arrived with his engaging, memorable, alt-country, folk-rockin’ single Nashville; from his latest EP Road By The River.

After serving as guitarist for Jersey rock bands Divine Sign and My State of Attraction, Michael is now venturing forward as a solo artist. Road By The River is his third EP and acts as the travelogue for a journeyman who is crossing the land by car or train searching for whatever the universe throws in his path.

Nashville is a catchy, head noddin’ documentation from the “oustide looking in” as Michael talks about hearing love songs, sharing drinks until we figure it out, and that lady who is loading up her gun.

A sweet sounding guitar rhythm opens the song as steel guitar, a folk-rockin’ rhythm and groovin’ bass soon enter the fold for a very pleasing aural experience. Michael’s catchy hook and infectious melodies guarantee we will be humming this song long after it ends.
