Midnight is an upbeat pop jam that lyrically explores the transformation of dating culture as brought about by apps like Tinder. In a world where we can swipe through options and are most drawn to the most visually appealing faces and bodies, is it possible to still find something “real”? Or has the era of dematerialization and physical distancing reduced our concepts of love and relationships to flings based on desiring someone’s profile photo?
