We recently spoke with multi-media artist Lyrical Storm about his books, music, and other endeavors and how he makes use of the Internet and social media to promote his business.
Naturally, he sent us a copy of his newest release, Lottery Ticket EP, for us to listen to and check out.
Understanding Lyrical Storm’s background as a poet and author, one should not be surprised by the lyrical substance and the depth of his narratives on each of these 5 tracks.

With titles like Inbox and Made In China, it is obvious Lyrical Storm is not your average rapper. Drugs, clothes, cars, and hoes are not the subject of his flows…but instead he chooses to discuss deeper issues such as the Internet creating more of a disconnect among us socially and why US Olympians wear uniforms made in China.
There is only one area I can recommend improvement and that is on the recording and production side of this EP.
All of the tracks sound good except for the opening Lottery Ticket on which the vocals sound over-compressed and in the mix they are much louder than the music. Outside of that one critique, the rest of the EP sounds much cleaner with a balanced mix.
For those who like comparisons, his style is a mixture LL Cool J, Scarface, and Slick Rick.
Lyrical Storm’s art is not limited to music so make sure to head over to his website and dig into all the other things he is doing.
