British singer/songwriter London King found herself performing in front of an audience of 500 people when she was only four years of age. Her passionate foray into songwriting sparked at age 11 when she wrote her first song. She has been performing in LA and the UK since she was only 14.
Once the front for rock band Rancid, London ventured into solo artist territory around age 18 and released her first solo EP in 2014 (Golden Edition). That project was produced by award winning musician and producer James Colah with help from Cornell Sorian. Fast forward to the present and London King is currently promoting her latest project, Antichrist Child. “Producer of the Year”, Aubrey Whitfield, worked with King on the new album.
The album’s single Immortality kicks off with a hypnotic sonic foundation featuring a driving rhythm, haunting piano, an infusion of electronic frequencies, and a very powerful vocal performance. With so much experience under her belt, London’s confidence is undeniable.
Her strong vocals are the icing on this sonic layer cake. Her experience as a seasoned performer and skilled songwriter are immediately evident. Her ability to keep us drawn into the music and the song is undeniably refreshing.
