Lizzy Latimer teamed up with Kyah Baby for her new, highly infectious, body movin’, pop single titled Can’t Cage Me.
A violinist since age 3, a multi-instrumentalist and an impressive vocalist, classically trained Lizzy Latimer began writing songs as a teenager, eventually earned a degree in Commercial Music and Production, and has been working as an engineer and producer since the age of 20.
Having performed in rock bands and symphony orchestras in various locations across the globe, Lizzy’s true sonic love goes to the styles of Hip Hop, R&B, Afropop, Kwaito and Dancehall. Approaching her creative process with a healthy dose of sociopolitical awareness, Lizzy manages to balance highly appealing pop music with lyrics that hold more substance than your average “pop hit”.
Infused with the confident, attention grabbing flows of Kyah Baby, Can’t Cage Me tackles a scenario Lizzy has observed many times… Independent, ambitious women who attract a man only for that man to expect her to just settle down and be content as a housewife. This contagious jam could easily be an anthem for all the queens unable to find a man who appreciates her strength and independent spirit.
