Independent singer, guitartist, keyboard player, and songwriter Manuel K has released his single “Live Without You” which peaked at #13 on the DRT National Airplay Top 50 Rock Chart, #26 on the DRT National Airplay Top 50 Indie Chart, and #165 on the DRT National Airplay Top 200 Chart. The single also received runner up for SongoftheYear.com’s Songwriting Contest.
Hailing from Switzerland, Manuel was formerly lead singer and guitarist for bands Nextmile and Rockcousins. He began his journey as a solo artist in 2013.
“Live Without You” is a puppet master of the emotional strings. An epic anthemic-sounding rock ballad, this newest version of the song was created by Manuel after the original release (with band Rockcousins) was not heard by as many ears as it could have reached.
Handling production, recording, vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keyboards, and percussion loops; Manuel is a powerhouse of a musician. Former Rockcousins member Raphael F handled bass while Kenny Aronoff (a highly demanded musician) handled the drums.
Recorded in L.A., the song was mixed by Delwyn Brooks in Vancouver, BC, Canada and mastered by Adam Ayan in Portland, Maine.
“Live Without You” is a passionate wall of sound. With pristine production, each instrument shines clearly. When the guitar solo kicks in, you’re ready to raise your lighters in the air as the screaming notes reach deep down to stroke the frequencies of your inner-self.
