Known for beautifully crafted, jazzy, soulful, inspirational songs, Laura Baron moves audiences with powerful stories, emotive sound beds and passionate performances.
In 2011, when her family adopted a girl from a New Delhi, India orphanage, her life experiences began to pour themselves into her songwriting. The result was the emotional journey of an album titled Heart of the Great UnKnown.
In June of this year, Laura released a new EP titled Long Road Home. The project is partly funded by a grant from Montgomery County Arts and Humanities.
When someone recommended I listen to Refugee, I was immediately hooked on Baron’s easy to absorb soundscapes, beautiful acoustic guitar work, and an undeniable spiritual experience which is inevitably powered by the music.
Excuse me while I take some time to listen to the rest of her album, starting now!
