Be careful when you click play on Lael Summer’s Burden To Bear… you might be stuck for a while; whether mesmerized by her soothing vocals or entranced by the soulful grooves, you’re going to feel so good you’ll forget the stop button even exists.
Born and raised in NYC, Lael could sing every song from the Sound Of Music by age 2. She performed her first post-vocal training showcase at age 10…the audience cried at her rendition of Beautiful by Christina Aguilera. By age 14 she had opened for Jon Anderson of Yes at B.B. King’s.
On Burden To Bear, Summer’s soulful serenading portrays an intelligence and wisdom far beyond her years. Currently a senior in USC’s elite Popular Music Program, her studies into the realm of music have yet to stop.
