Intellectual pop songwriter and composer Kicklighter (Everett Young) has returned with his latest installment of infectious pop songs titled Paper Planes Vol. 1: Too Much Too Soon.
We have featured Kicklighter before, find that feature here (opens in new tab).
Having put his true dream and passion on detour from the time he was 9 until his 40s, Kicklighter sees his years with the guitar as his method for learning how to practice. During his younger years, as his peers were rocking to KISS, Everett looked up to film composers and sonic sorcerers such as John Williams and John Barry. Despite his admiration for the art of composition and arrangement, Kicklighter became proficient as a pop songwriter.
In Everett’s words,
…For now, anyway. I’ve moved on—to writing for the orchestra. But I had to get just a little more songwriting out of my system first, and it seems there was a good bit of it in my system. Twenty-two songs, after throwing out a couple of duds: enough to produce two volumes, and you’re now presented with the first of those: Paper Planes, volume 1: Too Much Too Soon.”
Paper Planes includes 11 sonic delights packed with a potent blend of engaging melodies, charming atmospheres, and a glimpse of Kicklighter‘s cinematic-esque composition skills through a consistent display of appealing, masterfully crafted songs.
From the moment you click play until the album fades to silence, your ears and your spirit will be treated with an uplifting, upbeat, energizing and refreshing blend of sonic textures and soothing atmospheres.
