Kelly Campbell had no intentions of being a musician or putting out a CD.
During her teenage years, Kelly found herself bored and with limited AOL minutes she would sneak into her brother’s room to grab a few moments playing his guitar.
She had no clue what she was doing. She admits she was no natural. But something kept driving her to learn more.
Eventually she realized all those hours spent writing and piecing together lyrics were not wasted. Her poetry could now evolve into what it was meant to be: a catalog of songs.
Now you can purchase her album, Sweet Therapy, from iTunes, Amazon, and her website.
The songwriting is first class, the instrumentation is far above what I expected to hear, and the production is crisp, clean, and clear. I can’t choose a favorite song, I like ’em all.
Her inspiration and influences include bands such as: The Beatles, the Steve Miller Band, Lisa Loeb and Colbie Caillat.
The guitar was the key that unlocked my music. Through the years following my first summer as a teenager, I discovered what music would always be: the vehicle to express my successes, and more importantly, the therapy I needed to get through the “dark & twisties” that we all experience.
