Long time readers of this site will no doubt recognize the name Kathy Muir as we have been following and supporting her career for several years.
You can find previous features of Kathy’s music here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here (this one is an interview).
Kathy’s newest EP 2+2=4 is a collection of songs which focus on love, intolerance and never forgetting how beautiful we really are…despite our misconceptions and misguided self-images propagated by popular culture and mainstream media.
This new EP takes a very organic, stripped down approach musically in order to allow Kathy’s soulful and potent lyricism to shine brightly. And shine it does!
You might remember Kathy’s single The Other Side which kicks off the latest EP and sets the atmosphere for the three newer songs that follow. In the words of Kathy,
2+2=4 was written during 2016 and 2017 but was influenced as early as January 2016 by domestic and world events. The Other Side was the first manifestation of this moment in time.”
All four songs featured on this EP can stand alone as strong, honest, lyrically impressive singles. Kathy’s ability to craft quality songs is undeniable and her consistency proves that she takes the utmost care before presenting her art to the consumer.
