Joe Powell‘s latest single “Where I Am” is a very comforting, familiar, country-rock record that makes me feel like I’m back in the Tennessee countryside enjoying a good rocking chair on a front porch with a great view of the Appalachian foothills.

This Mississippi based singer/songwriter has had a long history with music including time at the LA Musician’s Institute but, as often happens, life took hold and Joe found himself being pulled away from his music.

When his teenage son approached him showing interest in music and recording, it was only natural for Joe to jump back into it full speed ahead.

Joe’s writing ranges from country to rock to pop and variations of those styles but “Where I Am” is a mellow country hit with plenty of pop appeal and staying power. This song grabs your emotions and sticks with you long after it’s stopped playing.
