Fire up the truck, roll down the windows, turn up the radio as loud as you can, and get ready for a foot stompin’, pedal to the metal, acoustic-driven, country rock rodeo as we find our peace of mind on a California Highway.
California Highway is the title of Jesse Daniel’s new single (with video you can watch below) and it is now available!
Growing up in the small mountain town of Ben Lomond, California, Jesse Daniel endured hard times after his parents split. As the ongoing turmoil affected his life in many ways, Jesse managed to learn the importance of some elbow grease and a lot of hard work while watching his mother scavenge metal to weld together to sell at the flea market so they could eat.
Going through life feeling a little lost, Jesse finally had a moment of realization which led him to purchasing a $50 Fender guitar from a pawn shop. He began writing songs, he put together a band, and they soon became known at bars and clubs for their energetic and sometimes rowdy performances.
One of the biggest rewards so far has been the opportunity to make new friends and share the stage with other musicians I admire… The harder I work, the luckier I get.
Jesse on the benefits of choosing music
Having played with influences and musical heroes such as Wayne “The Train” Hancock as well as Phil & Dave Alvin, it’s safe to say Jesse’s rewards have been well worth the endurance.
California Highway is an excellent jam anytime you need a mood booster or a shot of adrenaline; especially if you love country rock intended for the wide open highways. If you need an escape, the video will help your imagination take you there.
