Not that long ago, I featured Nashville based Jeremy Parson’s latest album Things I Need To Say (opens in new tab). Jeremy is back with his visual treatment for Why Is The Bluebird Blue, one of those well-crafted songs off his recent project.
Why Is The Bluebird Blue is a catchy yet somber tune. The rhythm, the melodies and the mood immediately capture you as Jeremy takes us on a mental exploration of why the bluebird might be blue. Is it blue like me? It is blue like us? Is the bluebird feeling as lonely as me?
Despite being a somber song, there is something about this track that really grabs me. I haven’t been able to pinpoint it yet but Why Is The Bluebird Blue simply sticks with you…long after the song is over. I’ve been listening to it on repeat and it has yet to get old. In fact, I notice new sonic nuances with each listen.
