Singer/songwriter Gareth Phillips releases his music as the collective January Zero and their smooth, soothing, but still jamming blend of instrumentation and sonic ambience deliver an engaging and refreshing indie pop rock record titled The Long Radio Silence.
Written and recorded at The Cellar, Phillips home studio, the tracks were eventually handed over to Jim Roll of Backseat Productions in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Also contributing to this impressive project is NOMO percussionist Dan Piccolo, vocal harmonies delivered by Noelle Beverly, and lead guitar work on The Borrowed Lives by Robert PeArt.

The result is an array of elements from various genres colliding into a really slick package of memorable pop rock with a serious and tasty infusion of jazz and folk elements woven together seamlessly.
From track 1 to 7, The Long Radio Silence is non-stop aurally stimulating experience that is best taken in all at once…with the volume turned up to 12.
