Brooklyn, New York based electro-industrial rockers Jane In Space have delivered their final video in a series of visuals in support of their Gorerunner EP.
I think director Permian Strata said it best so allow me to quote,
The previous few songs on the EP have a slow-building tension to them. And then “Thru The Vines” bursts through with this primal energy. In the video, the main character does literally that–he bursts into a ball of energy and hurdles through the ether, surrounded by an incomprehensible reality. I used optical feedback as a means of generating patterns that create the feeling of falling into the abyss.”

The press have compared them to Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode. Huffington Post says the band has an “authentic and brilliantly unique sound” and stated they are “somewhere Radiohead might have ventured if they let loose once in a while“. (I think that’s a damn good description.) Injecting my two cents, I hear undertones of Alice in Chains, a little Deftones and a bit of Ministry.
Combining rich pop melodies, synthwave, industrial and electronic music, Jane In Space deliver masterfully crafted songs founded in enticing, electrifying, elegantly arranged compositions that are as epic and moving as watching a symphony orchestra or even an opera singer lead their listeners through an emotion-evoking, and at times adrenaline pumping, experience.
The band teamed up with well known and highly respected sound designer Keith Hillebrandt (who has worked with NIN and Bowie) to bring their new Gorerunner EP to life. Considering the acclaim the new album is receiving, it’s no surprise the band has already completed another project with Hillebrandt (to be released late 2019).
