I can’t get enough of this song. If you’re a fan of classic Midwest bangers that weave the best elements of Twista, Do or Die, and Bone Thugs into one package… Weswill and OGx50 are your guys.
Excuse me while I bump this one more time…volume on 15, but don’t blow your woofers 😉
What attracted you to this genre(s) or style(s)?
What attracted me to this genre and style of music, was being a young kid listening to bone thugs n harmony, hearing the different flows and melodies they would throw in a song. It was mesmerizing and inspiring to me.
How long have you been creating and sharing your music with the public?
I have been creating/sharing music for 5 years.
Who or what influences your playing and/or writing? Also, what motivates you to keep going?
My influences are Outkast, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Twista, UGK, and Do or Die. My friends and family motivate me to keep going because they believe in me and constantly remind me of it.
Were you trying to accomplish anything specific on this new project? Creatively or otherwise?
With this latest project, I am trying to establish myself as one of the up and comers to be on the lookout for. Also, i am looking to gain new fans from places outside of Cleveland, Ohio.
What was the last song you listened to?
The last song I listened to was “Synthesizer” by Outkast
Which do you prefer? Vinyl? CDs? MP3s?
MP3’s, they are more convenient.
How about this one…. Do you prefer Spotify? Apple Music? Bandcamp? Or something else? Why?
For listening to music, I prefer apple music, because it is more convenient and i have always been a fan of iTunes. For distributing my music, i prefer bandcamp, because I am able to keep more of the money from sales on songs.
Other than the digital era overwhelming us with access to an abundance of music, what are one or two of the biggest challenges you face when trying to attract listeners to your music?
The biggest challenge, when trying to attract listeners to my music, is just to get people to listen. This is mainly due to the fact that there are so many rappers in the game, that people see it hard to decipher who is good and bad when there is so much bad music out there.
Do you gig, tour or perform? Do you ever live stream? Where can music lovers see you live?
I sometimes pop up on friends sets around the Cleveland area, but I am holding off on solo performances until I finish my project.
Where is the best place to connect with you online? Discover more of your music?
The best place to connect with me is on Twitter (@jettjaxson) and to discover my music, the best place to go is Soundcloud.
Any last thoughts? Shout outs? Words of wisdom?
