Let everyone know who you are, where you are from and what style of music you play.
WARE is Michael “Shance” Ware, lead guitar and vocals. Jeremy “Midas” Pegues, bass guitar and backup vocals and Jerry “Magik” Morton, drums. We come from Knoxville, Atlanta, and Nashville. Our music is a blend of rock, hip hop and pop that can’t really be categorized into one genre.
What do you do for fun? You know…besides music?
What every other musician does…play video games of course. But seriously, we have a TON of hobbies between the three of us including everything from fixing computers to traveling to stage acting. Midas as well as myself are sports fanatics and he also loves reading and does a lot of volunteer work. Some of Magik’s hobbies include basketball, building projects and car customs.
What was the last song you listened to?
Shance- “The Boys Are Back In Town” by Thin Lizzy
Midas- “Rock the Boat” by Aaliyah
Magik- “Fallin” by Jaspects

What did you listen to when you were younger? What do you listen to now? Have your tastes changed?
Midas and Magic both grew up on gospel, I grew up on pop/rock. When we get together we try to infuse what we bring to the table into one big mess. Luckily for us, it’s working out. LOL
Was there an “ah-ha” moment in your life when you knew music would be the path you were going to walk?
For me, it was my mom, that had that moment. I think she noticed at an early age that I was musically inclined. So she started putting me in stuff and getting me instruments. I had a keyboard, clarinet, saxophone, AND drums before I ever even touched a guitar. My mom bought me a guitar for no reason at all. I NEVER asked for one. It stuck though.
How did you hear about Music Tree Fest?
To be honest, that was all management’s doing lol. We submitted to a LOT of festivals last year, and thankfully Music Tree Festival was one of the one’s who accepted us to play. It’s gonna be our first time at the festival and we are more than ready!!!
How do you feel about being a part of Music Tree Festival?
It honestly will probably be the most people we’ve ever played in front of, so to say we’re excited may not do how we really feel justice. We are happy to be apart of it, and can’t wait to bring our high-energy craziness to a new group of people.
Do you have plans for Bonnaroo?
Nah, not really. Not this year. The plan is to be playing in it one day!!! Those festivals are kind of hard to be at. As a fan, it’s awesome. As an artist, you can’t help but wish it were you up there but our manager will be in attendance, it’s her fourth festival this Summer.
Do you have an album available? Where can we get it? Where can people connect with you online?
We have a recently released album, “No Landing Gear” which can be found on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Reverbnation, Bandcamp and SoundCloud. You can find us online at www.waremusic.com , facebook.com/waremusic twitter @waremusic Youtube: MrWareMusic and email Mrwaremusic@gmail.com
Any last thoughts? Shout outs?
We have to give a s/o to our fans and supporters who share and spread our music, come out to our shows and download our music. We are forever thankful, much love.
Also, a s/o to our friends and family who have been there to not only support WARE, but all of our musical endeavors that we have been apart of over the years, from marching bands to garage bands.
S/o to our manager, Kelly Hite for all the non glamorous behind the scenes work and time that she puts in. She also happens to be the dopest photographer, and does all of our photography.
S/o to Lovers & Fighters, a local clothing line with designs that are always on point. We are grateful for their continued support. You have to respect a local business that supports the local music scene.
