Where are you from and what style of music do you create? (In your own words, not necessarily in marketing terms or by popular genre classifications.)
I’m from Los Angeles, born and raised. We make alt-rock that I would say is pretty lush, and equal parts heavy and delicate.
What led you down this path of music and what motivates you to stay the course?
Initially I was into musical theater as a kid, but then I got into rock music and realized I wasn’t meant to sing showtunes. The motivation to stay the course is simple for me: I wouldn’t be happy/fulfilled doing anything else. I have no other choice but to do music.
How is your new release different than previous ones? Did you set out to accomplish anything specific?
Well, it’s our first real release, so it feels really good to finally have something “real” out there. We wanted to encompass our sound fully while making a good introduction for ourselves to everyone out there in the world.
Do you face any challenges as an indie musician in a digital age? On the flip side, how has technology helped you (if it has)?
I think the digital age has changed a lot about music and the industry behind it, so it’s been difficult to figure out what works and what doesn’t work anymore. Technology is cool though, because it helps you reach people who ordinarily wouldn’t know about you for a number of reasons, be it geographical, linguistic, or a matter of genre. It allows people to find you who wouldn’t unless you were “famous” already, so it does change the game in a positive way.
Where can we follow you online and hear more music?
Pretty much everywhere! Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, our website! iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, etc.! We’re easy to find.
